King Of The Capital 7th Grade/13 U Top Performers
MVP – Davion Morton Forward (NJ Rivals)- The energetic player had a good day, while catching the rock and attacking the rim. He had a layup package which allowed him to score in traffic and through contact. He also played hard on the other end of the floor. He finished with 14 points.
Malakchi Warren Forward (NJ Rivals)- I liked this kid. I remember him from a few years ago as a primary post player. Now he’s not only on the wing but he looks comfortable. He scored from the wing in the semifinals game and showed some explosiveness. He finished with 14 markers.
Logan Gale Guard (NJ Rivals)- Gale shot the rock well both games while nailing three treys in the finals. He’s a threat from the perimeter which stretches the defense and allows his teammates to attack the lanes. He finished with 10 points in the win.
Jamar Young Guard (NJ Rivals)- Young made some strong moves which helped NJ Rivals boost their lead. He has a nose for the rock and seems to get buckets even after getting fouled. He’s not a stranger to making the big play.
Gary Jennings Jr. Guard (Gym Work Elite)- “Champ” showed he could score the rock even in the loss. He was getting things done from all three levels. He also got things going in transition. He finished with 13 points in defeat.
