The Basketball Spotlight MDC 4th Grade Champion was very exciting as the battle went into overtime. Here are the 4th Grade Top Performers.

Co- Mr. Memorial Day -Jai’yon Smalls Guard (NJ Scholars)- Smalls is lightning quick with the rock while getting anywhere he wants on the floor. He scores the rock at will scoring 16 points in the championship. On defense he’s a total pest from end to end harassing ball handlers and playing the passing lanes.
Co- Mr. Memorial Day – Chase Sylvain Guard (NJ Scholars)- Chase is a do everything guard with some wiggle. He can get downhill with the rock while scoring the rock from all three levels. His offensive ability puts tremendous pressure on the defense.
Joshua Nicolas Guard (NJ Scholars)- The pure point guard is a throwback in terms of getting his teammates better. He has mean drive, draw and dish game. He also can shoot the rock while nailing a couple of treys in the finals.
Nate Livesay Forward (NJ Scholars)- Nate can score inside, rebounds the rock well and shows a high level of toughness around the glass. He has a high motor and a bright future. Keep an eye on this kid.
Zion Holmes Guard (MPO Elite)- Holmes was perhaps the best shooter in the building. He Trenton area guard drained five treys in the championship as he kept the NJ Scholars on their heels. He totaled 15 markers.
Omari Siplin Guard (MPO Elite)- Siplin also got busy for MPO Elite. The ultra quick guard can score tremendously in transition. He’s hard to defend once the rock is in his hands. He finished with 11 points.
Kah’den Dodson-Fenderson (MPO Elite)- Kah’den had an all around game in terms of setting up teammates and scoring the rock himself. He brings another good player to this mix. He finished with 8 points.
Damez Bethea Guard (MPO Elite)- Bethea is the defensive stopper for this squad. He takes pride in guarding the top player from the other team. He’s a high energy player.
