The Basketball Spotlight Tip Off Classic 8th Grade Orange Division was loaded with talent. Here’s our first look at the top performers.
Tip Off Classic 8th Grade Orange Division Top Performers Part 1
AJ Dybansta Forward (Expressions Elite)- AJ the #1 player in 8th grade was all that and then some. The 6’8 wing completely dominated every team he played against. AJ got to any place on the floor he wanted. He handles the ball very well for 6’8 eighth grader. He has a linky strong body that finishes at the rim with thunderous dunk. He is very good at all three levels and has a consistent jump shot from three and midrange. AJ led his Expression team to the 8th grade championship with 18pts, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
Adam Conheeny Guard (Expressions Elite)- Adam was dominant from the three pointer line. He hit big shots all weekend for his Expression Elite team. We saw him hit 4 three pointers in a row to create separation for his team. He has a serviceable handle to help get his quick jumper off. Adam is also a tough defender that creates havoc on the floor.
Desmond Bellot Jr. Guard (Expressions Elite)- Bellot Jr. creates consistent havoc on defense. Desmond finishes through contact around the rim and has a nice jumper from three and midrange. He was the defensive stopper for his team and he showed that in the championship game.
Saad Mitchell Guard (NJ Legacy)- Saad can attack the rim and finish through contact with ease. He is a tremendous slasher that can get anywhere on the floor that he wants. He is a good defender that can shutdown the other team's best player.
