The Class of 2026 has some of the top players in the region at the Future Phenom Camp. Here’s our second look at the top performers of the rising 8th Graders.
Future Phenom Camp Class of 2026 Top Performers Part 2
Jaxson Terry Guard (MA) – Terry is a big guard with a great skillset. He is a good passer that also rebounds and makes the right play on the court. It was refreshing in a camp setting to see a lot of the elite players sharing the rock and playing high level team basketball. Jaxson plays above the rim as we saw him dunk one on the break
Kayden Johnson Guard (DE) – Johnson is another big guard that likes to distribute the rock. He will rebound and push the ball leading the break. His unselfishness is evident seeing that Kayden can overpower his defender and take over the game finishing at the rim over smaller defenders. He took home the 8th grade division Best Teammate/Leader award.
Jaren Barnett Guard (NJ) – Jaren in a true point guard that controls the game like a seasoned veteran. He has a crafty handle, and he always seems to make the right play. He is always looking ahead to advance the ball to a teammate for an easy basket. Barnett can also score knocking down trey balls or attacking the basket finishing with soft floaters. He won the Best Playmaker/Passer award for the 8th grade division.
Pat Feamster Guard (PA) – Feamster is a big point guard that attacks the basket at will. He plays with high energy and is always putting pressure on the defense. We like his size that enables him to knock down contested shots which we saw him make a tough contested 3 pointer. We love Pat’s long-term potential based on his size and skill set at this time in his development.
Jayon Alexander Guard (NY) – Alexander is a do it all guard that finds multiple ways to contribute and score the basketball. He knocks down contested pull up jumpers off the bounce and he competes on the glass. We saw him get some tap in putbacks which we really like because many kids at this level don’t want to rebound or mix it up on the glass. Any coach would love to have Jayon on their team because he competes and has a passion for the game.
Brad Brown Guard (NJ) – Brown always seems to be around the ball on both ends of the floor. He has a nice handle and can knock down the long ball. He plays the right way taking the shot when open or finding teammates for easy baskets. He will mix it up rebounding despite his size and doesn’t shy away from contact when attacking the rim.
