Super Showcase 7th Grade Top Performers Part 1

The 7th Grade Division of the Super Showcase was loaded with talent and gave us a chance to see some new faces. Here’s our first look at the Class of 2026 top performers.

Super Showcase 7th Grade Top Performers Part 1

Richard Rosa Guard (Paterson, NJ)- Rosa has grown a couple of inches and is playing at a different gear. He demonstrated blow past skills and the ability to finish in traffic. Right now, Rosa controls the game as a true floor general but also can take over the contest when needed. He will be tough to contain on the AAU circuit this year.

Jalen Maldonado Forward (Elizabeth, NJ)- Maldonado showed up just in time for tip off. The bruising forward went right to work. He carved out position inside while scoring and hitting the glass. He also showed some improvement of putting the rock on the deck and creating his own shot. He’s a load the handle when he’s driving the pill.

Ryan RJ Smith Guard (Philadelphia, PA)- I was super impressed with this point guard. He was our first time watching him but he stayed in attack mode. He knew how to split the defense and find his shot or set up others. He’s Philly toughness stood out as he didn’t back down to any competition. Keep an eye out for this kid.

Kyon Coles Jr. Guard (Long Pond, PA)- Coles was another prospect we viewed for the first and was totally impressed. The lanky wing puts it on the deck comfortably while making moves. He showed he could create space and his own shot. The future looks very bright for this kid.

Amare Rose Guard (Warham, MA)- Rose proved to be a deadeye shooter from anywhere. He pulled up past the 3-point line and confidence and accuracy. He also showed he could finish in transition and in the half court set. This kid has an offensive arsenal.

Malik Myatt Forward (Philadelphia, PA)- Myatt first impressed us with his defensive prowess he knew how to time and block shots. Then on the offensive end he was able to get the rim and score the pill. He’s another budding prospect out of the basketball enriched city.

Micah Gordon Guard (Plainfield, NJ)- Gordon is a shifty floor general that knows how to lead a team and rarely turns the rock over. His style of play stood out in this up and down environment. He definitely knows how to get rid of defenders off the bounce.
