Delaware Explosion Top Performers Game 1

Noah Allen

Basketball Spotlight took a trip to the Delaware Explosion event to check out the top talent from the First State. Here’s a look at the Game 1 Standouts of the Event

Delaware Explosion Top Performers Game 1

Noah Allen Forward (Gray Team)- Allen went hard that’s why he took home the MVP honors. He was like a bull going to the cup and hammered the glass for rebounds. He scored 11 points and snatched 11 boards. His effort earned him the MVP honors.

Crisdon Wright Guard (Gray Team)- Wright played downhill early in isolation situations. I like how he charged the lane and converted some buckets. He finished with 8 markers. He’s very quick and determined with the rock.
Teion Jenkins Guard (Gray Team)- Jenkins grabbed the best defensive award and earned it. He picked up full court and pressured the pill. On offense he attacked the gaps and showed the ability to score in traffic.
Chad Dohl Guard (Gray Team)- Dohl is another hard-nosed guard from Delaware. He handles the rock and penetrates with a purpose. He has more substance than flash in his game. He also finished with 8 points in the win.
Rashid Ushery Guard (Gray Team)- Ushery not only saw the floor well but he also drained the outside shot with 3 treys. I like the pop in his game and look forward to seeing more of him very soon. He has a smoothness to his game.
Luke Shelton Guard (Black Team)- I like Shelton’s mid-range game. He pulled before the shot blockers and dished the rock when the defense over played. He’s a very pesky guard.
Eric Mathenge Forward (Black Team)- Eric is still a little raw but I did see something in his game. He has a high motor on both ends and develop into a decent score down the road.
Nico McNeil Guard (Black Team)- McNeil made some good decisions handling the rock and setting the pace. He maneuvered himself into the lane while using the drive, draw and dish method.
