Moody Park Summer League Middle School Top Performers
Quiyon McMillan Guard (S/D&D Travel)- McMillan was a monster last night. He came out early and dominated with his play attacking the cup in half court and in transition. He benefitted from Amir Taylor penetrating and dropping the dimes while roaming the baseline. Every time Spotlight made a run McMillan stopped them with a scoring flurry. He was definitely the “Player Of The Game”.
Amir Taylor Guard (S/D&D Travel)- Taylor nailed the game winning free throws in the clutch. During the contest he showed tremendous penetration skills in terms of scoring and passing. He put tremendous pressure on their defense and lived at the charity stripe. His bulldog style was on full display on both ends of the floor.
Ron Brown Jr. Guard (S/D&D Travel)- Brown Jr. can shoot the lights out. The pressure was on and he stood tall. I like his composure during the contest and his skills set. He came up big when the team needed it the most.
Stesher Mathelier Forward (Bball Spotlight)- Mathelier was big inside and showed some touch near the free throw line. He needs to work on catching the rock and gathering himself. He has a chance to become a good player down the road if he continues to work hard.
Davontay Hudson Guard (Bball Spotlight)- Hudson hit some big buckets down the stretch. He drained a trey to tie the game up and also made a three point play the old fashioned way. He showed tremendous heart from whistle to whistle.
