Javion Ceasar-Jones
Moody Park Summer League action took place last night for the Elementary School Division and Basketball Spotlight was in the building. The feature game of the night was MPO Elite against PBA Local 167. Here are the players that caught our eye.
Moody Park Summer League Elementary School Top Performers
Javion Ceasar-Jones Guard (MPO Elite)- When the smoked cleared Ceasar-Jones appeared to be the best player on the floor. The wiry guard turned on his scoring prowess in the second half by attacking the lane and stretching out for buckets. He also turned it up in the passing lanes with steals which also converted to baskets. He led the team in scoring for the win.
Marvin McNeil Guard (MPO Elite)- McNeil is a bruising point guard that bullies his way to the cup while making plays. He has the skill set of a floor general and establishes mean body control. He looks his best playing downhill.
Aivaye Ingram Guard (MPO Elite)- The southpaw court vision stood out in the win. He hit cutting teammates in the half-court and in transition. His past first mentality was vital in his squad taking home the championship.
Isaiah Gore Guard (PBA 167)- Gore was on fire in the first half as he finished the game with 16 markers. He was converting from all three levels and will be even better once he gets a little stronger. The wiggle in his game allows him to escape the defense.
Moose Martin Guard (PBA 167)- Martin his a strong guard that has good touch from the perimeter even though his shots weren’t falling. I like how he can get the rebound and push the rock himself. He’s capable for helping this team to win the title.
Amir Barber Guard (PBA 167)- Barber is the facilitator for this team. He drives into the teeth of the defense and usually kicks it to a teammate. He also was very active on the defensive end.
