Train with Micah Lancaster’s elite skills training in the morning session and compete in the afternoon session with 5 on 5 game play.

Basketball Spotlight National Rankings Will Be Released Next Week!

It’s that time of the year as Basketball Spotlight will be releasing our national rankings beginning next week. These rankings are based on us seeing players throughout the country in tournaments, camps, showcases and videos. We also take into account a player’s domination on their level, basketball IQ and long term potential. The rankings are just based on our opinion and should be taken as such.

RJ Cole Makes College Selection

Basketball Spotlight Alum RJ Cole has decided to attend Howard University in Washington, DC. Cole was one of the original players of the Basketball Spotlight circuit. He spent most of his middle school career with the famed F.A.C.E.S. organization before moving on to national powerhouse Playaz Basketball Club. 

He’s truly a team player and will go down as one of the winning-est players in Basketball Spotlight history. We would like to congratulate RJ and his family on his college choice and we wish him well. Hello Basketball World, 

This is Trey Patterson signing back in for my 2nd week of ‘Diary of a Baller’. I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed week. This week was a very busy week for me, that seemed like it would never end. I had two cross county meets this week, which is very rare, usually it’s just one meet a week, but for some reason, this year, the season started off in overload. In addition to my track schedule, I still had my basketball workouts for the week along with completing school work assignments. I had a science quiz, in which I believe I did very well on.

Jamir “The Terminator” Harris has chosen to attend the University of Minnesota. Harris was a Spotlight kid for years with Team Battle, NJ Got Game and NJ Playaz. Nicknamed the “The Terminator” for his approach to the game and effectiveness of shooting down the opposition. Harris finished his career as the Basketball Spotlight Most Outstanding Player after his 8th Grade season.

Nate "The Great" Pierre Louis Picks Temple!

Basketball Spotlight is proud to announce that long time Spotlight baller Nate Pierre Louis has committed to Temple University. Pierre Louis starred on the Spotlight circuit primarily with Team IZOD/Sports U and became one of the greatest scorers in our history. He was known for getting buckets and leading the Big Red Machine to many victories. 

Basketball Spotlight would like to congratulate Nate Pierre Louis on his college selection and we wish him the total best in his future. The Basketball Spotlight Tip Off Classic is the official start of the AAU season. Once again this event will be bringing together the top teams in the country. Make sure you register early because a sellout is imminent. We will try to have to have two divisions for each grade level based on competition level.

Greaves Shines At J.E.M. ALL STAR CLASSIC

Ritchie Greaves (Staten Island)

Richie Greaves out of Staten Island finished with 30 points in the Basketball Spotlight J.E.M. All Star Game which featured some of the top players in the east coast. Greaves showed impressive ball handing and an extremely deep three point range. Greaves knocked down 4 three pointers in the first quarter alone while taking home MVP honors. Basketball Spotlight would like to congratulate Greaves and wish him well in high school.
