Basketball Super Powers Combine for the Good of the Game (By Prolific Performance Nation)

There is one group that stands to gain from the recent turn of events in the youth basketball world, regardless of its outcome, and that’s the children that play and love youth basketball. In an often contentious environment two of youth basketball most prestigious and powerful entities have come together to partner and create what perhaps will be the largest and most extensive exposure event in the history of youth basketball.

Mike Melton of BBall Spotlight is one of the longest tenured and most respected voices in middle school hoops since founding Basketball Spotlight close to a decade ago. Melton who owns and operates the nation’s top tournament series has worked with and spotlighted some of the best players in the United States over the years has finally moved into the exposure camp world.

Basketball Spotlight holds tournament events and skill training events; these events have resulted in the introduction of hundreds of children to American as “Future Phenoms”. Players such as Tyus Battle (2016 ESPN #9), Isaiah Brisco (2015 ESPN #20), Tyler Dorsey (2015 ESPN #24 committed to Arizona), Stephen Zimmerman (2015 ESPN #6), McDonalds All- Americans Isaiah Whitehead (2014 ESPN #14, Seton Hall Commit) and Karl Towns Jr.(2014 ESPN #9, Kentucky Commit) , as well as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist of the National Champion Kentucky Wildcats and current Charlotte Hornets and former #2 Lottery Pick have all competed at one point or another in Melton’s events. His knowledge and ability to pinpoint future talent prior to High School is unmatched. He has seen it before and he knows how to analyze it.

His involvement alone in the exposure camp world would be enough; but when you add in Coach Francis who has been associated with players such as Steve Francis (NBA Lottery Pick & All Star), Roger Mason (NBA), Kevin Durant(Oklahoma City), Roy Hibbert (Indiana Pacers), Nate James (Duke player and current assistant), Jared Jack (NBA), and many more professional and college players over the last decade – is one of the best young basketball minds in the business. The Founder and creator of the USA National Select Program (formerly MSE National Select) works with the top Elite youth players throughout the country at the grammar and middle school level. He has coached every single current grammar/middle school #1 player in the United States through the class of 2019 and contributes his finding and opinions to multiple scouting services throughout the nation.

USA National Select Coach (and former MSE Staffer) and DMVelite Head of Middle School Player Rankings and Player Evaluations Bill Francis you now have a proverbial Super Power in the youth basketball world. Their words alone carry an astronomical weight, together they will create more high school and college scholarships than any other tandem in the history of the sport of youth basketball.

At the end of the day Prolific Performance relies on Francis for details on the youth game as well as Mike Melton for attracting the top players to his event in order to produce our own national boards – commends both of them for coming together for the benefit of the children. Each of these men could have done this alone, but to provide the ultimate in youth basketball they have brought their brands together in what will prove to be MAXIMUM EXPOSURE for the kids.

The Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp which will be held August 23rd and 24th in District Height Maryland (CLICK LINK TO REGISTER) has reported commitments from the nation’s top players already; the list includes top national player at every age group – some of which are:
