The 7th Grade Grand Finale Final four features some of the top players and teams in the region. These games should come down to the wire and make for some exciting basketball. Here’s a breakdown of the four teams making their way to Trenton Catholic.
Basketball Spotlight Grand Finale Preview and Predictions
TTO enters the final four with the #1 seed and just won the MIT. When they are fully loaded with Justin Moore and Anthony Harris they are very difficult to defeat. Jay Heath won the MVP at the MIT and Terrence Williams has been balling all season. If they are clicking this Sunday they could be taking the banner I-95 South.
The NJ giants just finished off a successful run at the NYBL and have one of the hottest players in the country in Bryan Antoine. Then when you throw in Scottie Lewis, Mikeal Jones and Ahmadu Sarnor, they possess some of the top talent in America. If they are allowed to run and gun the title will be there’s.
TF had one of the best turnaround seasons in Spotlight history. Now they will top it off with a Spotlight banner. The Big Three of Fhamir Ali, Shawn Johnson and Khyree Temple bring enough fire power to eliminate anyone. If the Mid Atlantic Champs can find their groove they can crash the party.
Team Nelson:
The reigning Grand Finale champs will be trying to take another banner home. They haven’t won a Spotlight title this season but have won three Grand Finales in a row. Mark Bradshaw and Dontae Scott are known names but the emergence of Jamil Riggins might be the key to victory.
Prediction:
If TTO is fully loaded then they should meet Team RIO in the finals that everyone is waiting for. This championship bout should be a slugfest and go down to the wire. If TTO can slowdown the speed of Team Rio and get Justin Moore going then TTO wins the banner. TTO by 6.
