Dear Basketball World,
I had a fun week this week. I went to St. John’s Catholic high school on Thursday. I loved the school! The students and teachers were friendly, entertaining, and hardworking. The classes were very challenging and looked fun. Reese Mona was my host. He did a good job of showing me the school from a student’s perspective. Also showing me what it would be like if I went there. I saw some of the coaches during the day and they talked to me briefly about basketball but it was mainly school work.
This weekend I went to my dad’s college homecoming at Millersville University in Millersville, PA. I got to meet my dad’s old friends from college. I spent most of the weekend with my grandma. We went to the homecoming football game, ate pizza, and went to my dad’s day party for a few hours. My dad looked like he had fun and I’m happy for him. He’s working my brother and I out so much that we take away from his free-time sometimes.
I took this week off from workouts. My knee has been really bothering me. My dad says it’s because I’m growing. All I know is that it hurts! I have been icing it three times a day and stretching it out. I hope I can play at 100% this week at practice. We have a tournament coming up and I don’t want to miss out because of my knee.
Until next time,
Myles Dread
