Class of 2019 Players Ready To Make Mark At Super Skillcase
Judah McIntyre (Brooklyn, NY)
As we previously stated the Class of 2019 is loaded with talent and most of the top players on the East Coast will be traveling to the Super Skillcase. Here’s a little of preview of some of the top ballers heading to Atlantic City High School this weekend.
Judah McIntyre (Brooklyn, NY): That’s right the ultimate floor general has reclassified in the Class of 2019. That means we get an extra year of watching him survey the floor like a surgeon. This past summer he quarterbacked New Rens to a #10 finish in the country. Can’t wait to see him this weekend.
Tyler Brelsford (Ellicott City, MD)- Tyler Brelsford is a name that ring bells around the country. He not only helped his AAU squad achieve high levels of success but he also made his mark on the camp circuit. He has proven to be one of the top point guards in the USA. Certified Winner!
Terrence Williams (Clinton, MD)- The versatile forward has shown tremendous progress in developing his perimeter game. He demonstrated these new traits at the 3rd Annual J.E.M. All Star Classic. Now he should be up for the challenge of going against the best on the East Coast. The Super Skillcase should also only enhance those developing skills.
Joshua Pierre Louis (Plainfield, NJ)- Joshua is now prepared to come out of the shadows of his older brother Nate. He showed flashes in the past but I think this event will allow him to go full throttle. We are looking for a big weekend out of this youngster.
Jahmir Young (Upper Marlboro, MD)- Young returned to the Spotlight this past season with PV Select and made the MDC All Tournament Team. The southpaw was used to the bright lights as he starred in our tournament in the 4th Grade. Now he should be ready to test his skills against the national competition.
Mekhi Long (Bryans Road, MD)- Long showed his worth during the AC Showcase. He made the All Tournament Team by getting out into transition and converting buckets. He has the type of game that should adapt well to the Super Skillcase. We will be watching.

7th Grade Guards Looking To Prove Themselves At The Super Skillcase
Jordan Simmons (Crete, Illinois)
The Class of 2018 has added some more top players to the East Coast Super Skillcase. Here’s a breakdown of some of the top players that have committed to going to Atlantic City. Don’t miss your chance to compete against the best.
Jordan Simmons (Crete, Illinois): Simmons has toured the country and showed his point guard skill set all over the nation. We got a chance to check him out at the 6th Grade AAU Nationals and left that event very impressed with his skills. We can’t wait to see him tangle with the top players on the East Coast.
Daniel Klosk (New York, NY): Klosk is one of the best pure shooters in the country. He proved that by winning the MVP of the 6th Grade Game of the J.E.M. All Star Classic. Daniel also has improved on his ability to create his own shot. We look for him to be a stand out performer this weekend.
El Khana Hildago (Pennsauken, NJ): Hildago showed us some good strides in his game at the John Lucas Camp. We got the chance to see his pure point guard skills and willingness to compete. Hopefully he brings this energy and skill set to this event. We look forward to watching him in Atlantic City.
Alex Morton (Howell, NJ): Morton has proven to be an outside threat at several Spotlight events. Now the stakes will be high and I’m looking to see how he will respond to the big stage. Chances are he will be stroking the rock with the best of them.

Super Skillcase Receives Some Glory
Team Glory is quickly becoming one of the most talented AAU baby baller organizations in the nation. Only 3 years in running, they have made some serious noise on the AAU circuit with exceptional guard play. Founders and coaches Mike Harmon and Douglas Dormu have coached and played on every level and provide some of the best development in the Washington, DC area. They already have accomplished a Division I national Championship at the U9 level and a Division I National 2nd place finish with the U8s.
Team Glory currently has boys from 2nd-7th grade and are bringing some of their top players to the Super Skillcase. Team Glory has been looking forward to this event for some time. Coach Mike and Doug take skill development seriously and are looking to bring some of Micah’s innovative training back to DC with them. The players are excited about the training and the opportunity to showcase their skills for Basketball Spotlight.

Khalif Battle (Edison, NJ)
On the heels of the success of his older brother (Tyus), Khalif Battle is ready to come into his own. The sixth grade guard from Edison, NJ will be bringing his game to the East Coast Super Skillcase.
Battle’s father Gary is confident that this is the right setting for Khalif to develop his skills and gain exposure. “This is a dream duo, putting together Micah Lancaster, Impossible Training and Mike Melton of Basketball Spotlight. Melton's Mailbag: Wall 2 Wall, Where's "The Great"?, NC Flavor and POY Talk
As you know through our polls we at Basketball Spotlight like to have the fan input. We decided to take it to another level. We have developed the Melton’s Mailbag. The Melton Mailbag will contain 4 questions from you the fans that we will post and answer on our page. We will pick the four questions to post on the site.
Aidan from Reading, PA wrote:
Mike, do you think Wall 2 Wall is the real deal and could be a top 5 team on the East Coast?
MM: Aidan Wall 2 Wall showed some strong strides last season but the loss of leading scorer Alex Serrano (Team Final) will be hard but these kids might be tough enough to overcome it. It’s still a little too early to tell if they are top 5 because we have to see how other teams on this grade level have remodeled.
Juan from Plainfield, NJ wrote:
Mike I know Nate Pierre Louis has left Team IZOD so where do you think he will end up?
MM: Juan my first hunch was Team Scan but it seems things didn’t work out. I’m figuring long term don’t be surprised if he ends of with the Playaz. He will be attending St. Peters Prep and he’s expected to be a high profile recruit down the road so he would want to play on the Nike circuit. Right now the Playaz seem to make the most sense.
John from Greensboro, NC wrote:
Mike what do you think of Will Dillard from North Carolina?
MM: John I saw Dillard play a few times when he was with Haywood Elite. He was a good guard in the Class of 2017 but now that he has reclassified to 2018 he has to be the top prospect in that state and one of the top players in the nation. I can’t wait to see him perform this year with Team Felton.
Derrick from Landover, MD wrote:
Mike who will win the Basketball Spotlight 8th Grade Player Of The Year?
MM: Honestly, Derrick this year seems to be totally wide open. The leading candidates seem to be as follows; Jaecee Martin, Nate Pierre Louis, Tremont Waters, Jermaine Samuels, Quade Green, Jamir Harris, DJ Mitchell, Jamir Moultrie and Shyheim Hicks to name a few. It will be really interesting to see who steps up and separates from the pack.
Anyone interested in sending Mike Melton questions, please send them to basketballspotlight@hotmail.com

Diary Of A Baller: Lucas Hudson (Center Valley, PA) Entry #4
John Wall and Lucas Hudson
Hello basketball world! I had another busy week. So here we go! Last Sunday, I played in the SCBL high school league and had a solid game with 13 points. I like how my three ball is connecting and my drive and kick game is coming into play as I compete against older teams.

Melton' s Mailbag: Rankings, Mayweather vs. Waters and More!
As you know through our polls we at Basketball Spotlight like to have the fan input. We decided to take it to another level. We have developed the Melton’s Mailbag. The Melton Mailbag will contain 4 questions from you the fans that we will post and answer on our page. We will pick the four questions to post on the site .
Zach from Tucson, AZ writes: Mike now that you have ranked the Class of 2016, when will the other rankings appear and who can we expect to be the top player from the classes of 2017 and 2018?
MM: Well Zach we are currently working on the rankings and will decide soon on the release. Right now few can argue the Cody Riley is the overwhelming favorite for #1 in the 2017 Class. In the Class of 2018, it’s a little tougher. I like EJ Montgomery from Florida and I also like Marvin Bagley from Arizona.
Myles from Springfield, MA wrote: Mike who you think is better between Jaecee “Mayweather” Martin and Tremont Waters?
MM: Wow, Myles that a tough question because both guards are good on this level but I haven’t seen them go at it yet. Mayweather has an attacking style and seems be the more explosive between the two, while Waters relies on his smoothness and long range shooting. Hopefully we can get this question answered this season.
Terry from Philadelphia, PA wrote: Mike I have a pretty good AAU squad from the Pennsylvania area and we want to enter your tournaments. How can we guarantee an Orange Division spot?
MM: Well Terry we will like to thank for your interest. Teams earn a spot in the Orange Division based on their resume in the Spotlight events or on the national level. We use this format to make our events exciting and a competitive environment for everyone involved.
Harold from Wilmington, DE wrote: Mike who do you think has the best 7th Grade team entering this season?
MM: Well, Harold you have to start off with the defending champs DC Assault. They should be looked at the early favorites, and then of course We All Can Go will be looking to get back on top. Finally, I’m curious to see what the Supreme Team are putting together. Things should be interesting.
