ECE Captures First BannerJamal Whittlesey poured in a game high 20 points as East Coast Elite defeated DC Assault 41-20 to win the Baby Baller MLK Classic 12U Championship. Preston Bacon scored 14 points for DC Assault in the loss. ECE coach Rob Turner was happy about their MLK Class performance. “We went into the tournament with something to prove, we dubbed it the "STATEMENT TOURNAMENT" during practices. Coaches and players alike were disappointed with our prior performance (Tip Off Classic) and set out to redeem ourselves. MVP: Jamal Whittlesey (East Coast Elite)- It was a huge weekend for the big fella. He was virtually automatic under the basket. He boxed the defenders under the basket and used the glass very well.
