Potomac Valley 14U Preview: Can Anyone Contain DC Assault?

DC Assault AKA "The MOBB"

Now we will take a look at the Potomac Valley 14U which possesses some of the top talent in the country. Here’s a look at some of the top 14U players and teams that will take the court this season.

Potomac Valley 14U Preview

Team To Beat: DC Assault
The MOBB has gone 82-7 (14 Championships) since joining forces with only 1 loss coming in their age group. Right now they are clicking on all cylinders and should only get better as the season progresses. Not only do they have fire power but are most likely the deepest team in the country.

Dark Horse: Fairfax Stars
Anyone can get beat on any day and if there’s any team that can dethrone “The MOBB” it has to be Fairfax Stars. Coach Pittman is one of the best motivators around and a few solid players including Mike Janowski and guard Chauncey Pittman. Don’t sleep on these guys.

Preseason Player Of The Year: Joe Hampton Hampton’s arrival to DC Assault turned a good team into a great one. The southpaw dazzled crowds all over the country and even won MVP of Adidas Super 64 on the 14U level. This year we are looking for him to take his game to another level.
