The NJ 14U AAU scene should be very interesting. There should be 3 teams vying for that NJ State Crown. Here’s a preview of the top players and teams that will represent the Garden State.

Team To Beat: F.A.C.E.S.
The reigning NJ State Champs and #7 team in the country will still have a hungry attitude. They have a quality front line including POY Idris Joyner, Christian Ford and Ray Montilus. In the backcourt they have a plethora of guards that apply a tremendous amount of pressure.
Dark Horse: Playaz Basketball ClubPBC has a serious backcourt featuring NyRhique Smith, Donovan Love and possibly Nick Brooks which might put them over the top. For them to win it all they will have to knock of F.A.C.E.S. and KSK.
Preseason Player Of The Year: NyRhique Smith (Playaz)Smith has brought his talent back home (NJ) with the famed Playaz. His game has become a little more offensive minded in terms of scoring the basketball. Therefore the Playaz wide open style should fit him greatly. Isaiah Briscoe broke out with the Playaz last year and now can “La Smoove” do the same?
