Devonte Green (Team Scan)

MDC 14U Top Scoring Guards

Devonte Green Guard (Team Scan)- Green capped off a great weekend by hitting Expressions for 22 points in the finals. Devonte doesn’t waste time with elaborate dribble moves but instead uses substance and scores within the offense. This efficient two-guard has a polished game and will be able to translate to any level or system.

Juwan Gooding Guard (Expressions)- Speaking of scoring Gooding torched Loudon County Bulls for 30 markers while displaying the ability to drop it in from anywhere on the floor. While many wonder if he should become a point guard Juwan keeps posting top notch numbers.

Darrick Boyd Guard (CBC)- The rugged guard went for a team high 19 points in their pool play loss against F.A.C.E.S.. Darrick is an explosive combo guard that understands his strengths and tries to use them as much as possible.

Trey Lowe Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- Lowe answered Boyd in their showdown. Trey went for 20 points and found is range from deep while knocking 3 trey balls. When Lowe is on from the perimeter it’s very difficult to slow him down.

Samir Taylor Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- New Heights faced a hot Taylor in their pool play loss to F.A.C.E.S.. The quick combo guard put tremendous pressure on the defense before finishing with 19 markers. This kid is a focused young player.

Jamir Harris Guard (NJ Got Game)- Harris not only showed he belonged but also took over the game for a short period. He loves to hang in the air while throwing his body into the shot blocker before finishing. His floater off the glass is becoming his trademark shot.

Luke O’Shaugnessy Guard (NJ Shore Shots)- Luke had a good showing playing in his home gym. The lefty averaged near 18 points a contest and represented himself well.
