Basketball Spotlight 12U Top 10 Presented By Agame Team Apparel
There hasn't been much change in the 12U rankings but things are definitely heating up before we reach AAU Nationals and Summer Slam. Here's a look at our Top 10.
Basketball Spotlight 12U Top 10 Presented By AGame Team Apparel
1. Team IZOD: The Big Red Machine won the MDC but had an unexpected early exit from the MIT. Now their sites are set on the Spotlight CB Spiders Classic this weekend in Charlotte, NC.
2. CBC: The Bad Boys continued their dominance with a MDC championship game run. They took care of business and have a semifinal showdown with Juice All Stars awaiting them at Summer Slam.
3. Juice All Stars: The Coney Island crew plans to be the spoiler at Summer Slam. They actually hold the CT state title banner and have developed their own little rivalry with the Bad Boys.
4. Maryland Panthers: After winning the PV championship MP had good showings in New Orleans and at the MIT. I can’t wait to see them thump with the big dogs at the AAU Nationals in Hampton.
5. DC Assault: Rounding out our Top 5 is the PV powerhouse. The squad that represents the 3 stripes will also be on our viewing agenda once we hit Hampton, Virginia in the middle of July.
6. Playtime Panthers: They recently won the Elite Takeover 12U championship and have some pieces to surprise some teams at the AAU Nationals. Wow Hampton is going to be crazy.
7. CT Elite: This squad really missed Endel Sanchez during the MDC. Their early exit cost them a chance at Summer Slam. But they will have a chance to rebound once they reach the AAU Nationals.
8. Team Nelson: The Mid Atlantic king pins are definitely Spotlight tested and will be able to bring this experience to the big dance in Hampton. We will definitely be watching.
9. Team Final: TF will be the fourth and final team in Summer Slam. No one is giving them a fighting chance but that’s why we play the games. Before Summer Slam we will also catch them at the Boo Williams Center.
10. 6th Man Warriors: The Warriors round out our Top 10. Their inspired play impressed us at the Basketball Spotlight events. We will definitely check for them at the Nationals.
