Diary Of A Baller: Otis "The General" Livingston (NJ Got Game) Entry #24
What’s happening everyone?,
Sorry for being away so long. It’s been a loooong couple of weeks. We had a celebration for my Grandmother who passed away 2 weeks ago. We had a lot of friends and family over to our house for dinner. We just sat back and talked about Grandma and how much we miss her. We also got to see some people we have not seen in a while. Austin White’s family came by. So did Sterling Gibbs. Congrats to him for signing with Texas, even though we’ll be rooting for Kansas when they play. LOL. I’m glad we got to do something for G-Ma. I miss her everyday.
My school week started off well because I received a good test grade in math. I got a 96, which I am very proud of. I was very pleased because I worked hard and studied. In Language Arts we are reading Shakespeare’s Midsummers Night Dream. I actually played Shakespeare in the same play in 5th grade. In science we are doing this huge lab called sludge (basically we have to separate liquids and solids that are given to us in one bottle). We have to use our past knowledge to do well on this. That’s really it for school, now on to basketball.
I’ve been working out a lot on my jump shot to get it automatic because it’s crunch time for the AAU season. Got G.A.M.E has been practicing a lot. We work on all of our sets and we’ve added a new set to our arsenal. When we go down to the DC Assault tournament we don’t want to have any slip ups. I think we are prepared and we are mentally ready for the tournament. We have two practices this week to go hard and leave NJ on a good note.
Last weekend we played in an 11th grade tourney down at Kean University. It was a good challenge because the competition was smarter, faster and stronger. We had a good showing; we went 2-1 and ended up winning the tournament. In all the games we played pretty good, made some bad errors that we can’t make anymore though. We were up by a lot in two of the games, but let the teams come back and make it close. We won the games, but we all knew we shouldn’t have let it get close.
That’s my week in a nutshell, tune in next week for another entry.
The General is OUT!
