Basketbull Jr. Hoophall 14U Recap: F.A.C.E.S. Victorious

F.A.C.E.S. Knocks Off Expressions

Trey Lowe and Ahmad Harrison scored 10 points apiece as F.A.C.E.S. defeated Expressions 59-58 to win the Basketbull Jr. Hoophall 14U Championship. Chris Baldwin finished with a game high 19 points for Expressions in the loss.

Top Performers

Samir Taylor Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- Taylor did an outstanding defensive job on high scoring guard Juwan Gooding. F.A.C.E.S. played a box and one defense on Gooding and Taylor denied him the rock all afternoon. Even when Gooding did get his hands on the ball Samir’s quickness and length still caused problems.

Trey Lowe Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- When Expressions cut the lead to four points late in the game Lowe banged home a three ball to give F.A.C.E.S. the breathing room to hold on. He isn’t afraid to take the big shot at anytime. He does need to get stronger which will help him when he’s getting trapped.

Ahmad Harrison Forward (F.A.C.E.S.)- Harrison’s toughness and versatility helped F.A.C.E.S. win the crown. He will bang inside with the big boys or step behind the arc to drain a big trey. He definitely adds a new dimension to this squad.

Mike Jolaoso Forward (F.A.C.E.S.)- Jolaoso proved very valuable in terms of controlling the rock and getting around Expressions athletic defenders. When the ball rotated around he was able to knockdown a couple of jumpers including a 4 point play after banking a three ball.

Chris Baldwin Forward (Expressions)- Baldwin played big in the closing moments after battling foul trouble all game. His baby hook in the lane was unstoppable and he also was a force on the boards. This squad is tough to beat if he stays out of foul trouble.

Aaron Mclean Forward (Expressions)- Mclean had another solid showing. He battled F.A.C.E.S. inside when Baldwin was in foul trouble. He’s a face up four man with the knack to score. I like this kid’s upside.
