Basketbull Jr. Hoophall 13U Recap: F.A.C.E.S. Wins In Massachusetts

F.A.C.E.S. Wins Jr. Hoophall Crown

Unique Mclean scored a game high 24 points but it wasn’t enough as F.A.C.E.S. defeated Team Scan 66-55 to win the Basketbull Jr. Hoophall 13U Championship. Ray Montilous finished with 20 point for the winners.

Top Performers

Ray Montilous Forward (F.A.C.E.S.)- Montilous woke up after a slow start in the first half. He carved Team Scan’s post players with quick moves and twisting lay ups. He started the game roaming the perimeter but went down low to his bread and butter to get the job done.

Idris Joyner Forward (F.A.C.E.S.)- Joyner also played better in the second stanza. He got comfortable and made some tough plays inside. He had one of the highlights of the day when he dribbled the rock coast to coast for a bucket.

Jagan Mosley Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- Mosley sparked F.A.C.E.S. in the second half with some big buckets. I like his size for the position he plays and thinks he could be more of an offensive threat if he becomes a little more aggressive. His contribution from the perimeter will be vital as the season progresses.

Azzur Taylor Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- Team Scan had F.A.C.E.S. on the ropes early until Taylor checked in and helped to stop the bleeding. He loves his role as a defensive stopper but can also give a few points on the offensive end.

Unique Mclean Guard (Team Scan)- The kid is a true natural talent and relishes the open floor. His first step is one of the quickest on the circuit. He leaping ability helped him snatch down 9 caroms and block a few shots. He still needs to improve his outside shot by adding a little arch. This kid has potential oozing from his veins.

Leondre Washington Guard (Team Scan)- Washington has settled in as the team’s floor general. He had the drive, draw and dish going for most of the contest. I also like his willingness to take big shots and the toughness he shows on the floor.
