Grand Finale 13U Blue Championship Recap: Hampton's 32 Powers Force One

Force One Took Home The Crown!

Joe Hampton pumped in 32 points and Keith Sims added 10 markers as Force One Basketball got past Philly Triple Threat 52-51 in overtime to win the Grand Finale 13U Blue Division Championship. Josh Sharkey tallied 13 points in the loss.

Top Performers

Joe Hampton Forward (Force One)- Hampton dominated the finals. His play basically extended from baseline to foul line. He uses to the turnaround and face up jumper to get money. I also like his spin and the way he maneuvers on the baseline.

Keith Simms Forward (Force One)- Simms did a good job of hitting the weak side for rebounds and scoring in traffic. He isn’t afraid of initiating contact before finishing off plays. He played a major part in their championship run.

Vince Walker Guard (Force One)- Walker gets out into the open floor by pushing the rock and fills the lane well when trying to score. He has an extra gear that he turns on when driving past defenders. He’s a natural scorer.

Joshua Sharkey Guard (Philly Triple Threat)- Sharkey showed his special point guard skills in the finals. I’m always captivated by his court vision and ability to thread the needle when hitting teammates. Sharkey’s ability to score over bigger interior players will be a trait he can use for years to come.

Jason Clark Guard (Philly Triple Threat)- Clark played well in the second half. He runs the floor well and can score a variety of ways. He plays both ends of the floor and can score when needed.
