Top Performers
Mustapha Heron Guard (Gauchos)- Heron looked real good on the wing today. His pull up mid range was money and he’s starting to extend his range. Heron also showed the ability to push the pill and make some decisions. He has still has some room to grow on the perimeter but he’s on the right road.
Idris Joyner Forward (Gauchos)- Joyner battled hard in the paint. He collected 11 rebounds and finished with 14 points. I also see that he’s trying to put the rock on the floor a little more. His upside is real good.
Sayon Charles Forward (Gauchos)- Charles played well in the second contest. He threw his weight around under the tin while snatching rebounds and was able to penetrate a little off the bounce. If he continues on this pace he should be a viable asset to this team.
NyRhique Smith Guard (Gauchos)- Smith finally got things going in the second half. Nursing a tailbone injury he was able to get a couple of steals and finishes which put the game away.
Tyrone Malone Forward (Brooklyn Kings)- I like the upside from this kid. The slim lefty made some tough finishes on put backs and has good touch facing the cup. He looks like he should stretch up to near 6’6 or 6’7 in the future.
Donovan Dunham Guard (Brooklyn Kings)- Dunham is a capable penetrator that uses his quickness and ball handling to wiz through the defense. At times he can tend to over dribble and get out of control. But with the correct coaching he should be a force in high school.
