Hello Basketball World. It’s your boy "Fresh" back again to tell you about my week. This week was about being mentally focused. Monday, I just came back from a competitive Baskteball Spotlight weekend. My knees were hurting lot (I might have a growth spurt), so it was no basketball for me that day. Tuesday, I had middle school practice and I always go at my teammates very hard so that they can get better and so that I can get better. Later on I had Team Final practice but, it was light because everybody knees were hurting too. I watch until halftime of LCA varsity game. They played against this school from Connecticut and they came out with the "W". Wednesday I laid back and with no practice I did push-ups, sit-ups and calf raises.
Thursday I had middle school practices and we went over plays and got a little 5 on 5. It was very intense and fun at the same time. But all in all everybody is getting better. Friday my friend Malik Abbott came over my house and we played 2k11 all night long. I was killing him and won every game except when I picked Jordan.... lol. Saturday I had a workout with Coach P. We worked on a lot of patterns, Like 1 dribble step in shot and 2 dribble step in shot. Later on LCA varsity lost to ANC by like 20. They were very undersized and that told the story of the game. Sunday we were suppose to play up Funsport. But do to scheduling conflicts we had to forfeit. Til next remember "When your body is saying no, your mind is saying yes... because the game is 40% physical and 60% mental". Stay tuned for more from Lamarr "Fresh" Kimble.
P.S. I know I don’t talk about school much but I'm still holding up that A average. School is more important than basketball because with no education there is no guaranteed future. School is 100% mental so everyone keep their heads in the BOOKS....
