Can Riverside Capture Another Banner?
The 11U Division at the Basketball Spotlight Grand Finale should be very exciting. This group has some exciting players returning from last year and they are ready to get it on. Check out this preview of some of the top teams and players that will be in attendance.
Grand Finale 11U Preview
Riverside Hawks: The Hawks showed their worth by winning the AC Showcase which featured some of the top teams in the region. They have a no nonsense coach and some of the top guards you can find. They have to be one of the early favorites. Keep an eye for Cameron Wynter and Atiba Taylor.
NYC Gauchos: Coach Wee will always have the Choz ready for war. They have an impressive attacking style and are ready for a collision with Riverside Hawks. They could meet again in the finals of this event.
Natural Ballers: Mr. Tanksley is worth the price of admissions and should be ready to put on a show. NB has some personnel changes but still has the core intact. Don’t be surprised if they are very tough to beat.
Team NJABC: When Jalen Gaffney is in the building teams need to watch out. The slick floor general directs this squad in the best way. They made some noise last year in 10U and I don’t expect anything to change this time around.
Delaware Royalty: DR is back for some wreck. They have one of the best post players in the business in Jamal Whittlesey. He can virtually dominate the game on both ends of the floor.
We Run: Jalen Brooks name should ring bells for a while. He has come over from Playtime and brought some of his fellow Panthers. We Run might be the new name to know in the Garden State.
T Town Ballers: The group from the capital city will be making their Spotlight debut. They are always a tough group to handle and should be ready to make an immediate impact.
B Rock Basketball: This Ocean County based team will bring a lot of fundamentals to this event. This also will be their Spotlight debut on this age level. I hope these youngsters are ready to go.
