Anthony "Mister" Cowan (DC Assault)
This year’s 12U Nationals are loaded with star power. During our walk around we got chance to check some players with national reps. Here’s a look at some of these top studs.
Anthony Cowan Guard (DC Assault Clark)- His backcourt mate was out with a head injury so Mister Cowan decided to take over the scoring. The cleaver point guard attacked from the wing and used his unique style to make plays. I hope he saved some for tomorrow as they will face Team Battle.
Harry Giles Forward (Team Felton)- Giles and his teammates had two games today because they have five teams in their pool. The lanky forward showed his worth in both outings. He dribbled around smaller guards and used his length to avoid shot blockers near the cup. His game is really flowing.
Keenan Black Forward (SC Ravens)- “The Problem” exploded or several buckets as the spectators look on in amazement. His perimeter game continues to flourish as he plays with the swagger of a big time prospect. The cat is out the bag about Black.
Dunks R US
Seven Woods Guard (SC Ravens)- The 11 year old brought the crown their feet when he caught a breakaway dunk in their blowout win. I told you guys this kid could go now he’s proving it on a national stage.
Ceasar Adim Forward (MABC)- “Hail” Ceasar also tested the basket support on a breakaway dunk. This youngster has shown the competition cannot stop him from dominating. Let’s see I he can keep it up as the action heats up.
