Team Nelson Returns To The Championship Row!Christian Irons scored 17 points and Kyle Coleman added 16 markers as Team Nelson defeated Kings Of The Court (OH) 53-44 to win the Basketball Spotlight MDC 14U Championship. Aaron Bushman led the Ohio club with 13 points in the loss.

Christian Irons Forward (Team Nelson)- Irons improved his tough play inside. He has grown a few inches and trimmed up so his post moves are crisp. Irons banged out with the big front line from Ohio. I like the way he maneuvers on the baseline and around the cup. I love the way he improved his game. 
Kyle Coleman Guard (Team Nelson)- Coleman got it going while attacking the basket within the offense. He sliced through the lane and finished above the shot blockers. He has a slashing game and a scorer’s prowess. His strength allows him to absorb contact.
Nazier Chew Guard (Team Nelson)- Chew did a good job running the show in the finals. He pushed the rock with urgency and made some good decisions dishing the pill. He didn’t score much but did good getting his teammates involved.
Trevor Dunbar Guard (KOTC)- Dunbar has a smooth game running the point. The southpaw picks his spots before penetrating through the gaps of the defense. Once he gets into the lane he pulls up with a fluid jumper or a cleaver drop off. They say point guards are born to play the position and Dunbar seems to fit that mode. 
Tyler Herron Forward (KOTC)- Herron is a work in progress on the offensive but standing 6’8 he’s a promising prospect. He tossed away over ten shots in the championship and altered a few others. A few sites have ranked in the Top 20 and I can see why.
Aaron Bushner Guard (KOTC)- Bushner is a nice wing guard. He excels in the open floor and has some explosion when attacking the cup.
