The 14U Division also appears to be a tight race to the finish. A couple of teams switched spots but we didn’t have anything drastic going on. Here’s a look at our 14U Top 10 Teams.
Basketball Spotlight 14U Top 10 Presented By AGame Apparel
1. Starrett City/Juice: They seem to be going wire to wire in this #1 spot. While the rumor mill was going they kept winning. They won the Metropolitan crown and a day after winning the KSK title. A total bomb at the Nationals is the only thing that might make them fall. They only loss two games this entire season. That’s remarkable!
2. Team Scan: Scan won the Best Of The Best in Springfield during the Memorial Day Weekend. They boast as one of only two teams that can say they knocked off mighty SC/J. They will need to run the table in every tourney and make a deep national to jump Juice.
3. Future Players: FP continues to travel up north for that good bump and impress. They made it to the finals of the KSK tourney after revenging an earlier loss to Team NJ ABC in the AGame tourney. They are a very sneaky bunch.
4. Youth Interlock: After watching them in their regional championship I thought they were ready to handle Juice but they got knocked before reaching the premiere match up. They are still a good team but not as powerful as a year before.
5. Team Nelson: TN finished their season with a MDC victory after finishing 2nd in their region. They will be looking to make a better impact at the Nationals this year.
6. Team NJ ABC: This squad might have a little argument to be a little higher. They won NJ switch wasn’t the toughest district but they also won AGame tourney. Recently they made it to the final four of KSK tourney.
7. Kings Of The Court (OH): These boys came out here and made it to the finals of the MDC. They have some serious prospects in their stable.
8. New Heights: NH had a decent showing at the MDC before losing to Kings Of The Court (OH). Their squad is built for the future so you will hear about them years to come.
9. Boston Spartans: The Spartans finished runner up to Team Scan at the Best Of The Best. They possess one of the top scorers in the region.
10. CBC: This is a talented crew that’s capable of making a deep run in any tournament. Keep a close eye on these boys for the rest of the season.
