The Basketball Spotlight 11U Regional Rankings had some movement but a lot of the teams remain intact. Here’s a breakdown of the Top 10 teams in the region from our standpoint. Remember this is just our opinion and should be viewed as such.Basketball Spotlight 11U Top 10 Presented By AGame Apparel
1. Team Battle: After winning the state crown TB finished runner-up at the DC Assault tourney and the MDC. Their resume speaks for itself but the gap is closing a little.
2. CT Elite: The pride of Connecticut made it to the finals of the MDC after knocking off eventual champ Maryland Panthers in pool play. I love this group and hope to see them again soon.
3. F.A.C.E.S.: The Killer Bees loss to TB in the NJ finals and had been idle since. They have a quality crew and are fun to watch.
4. Maryland Panthers: The PV champs made their Spotlight debut and won the crown. I know a jump to number 4 seems high but they beat a few high ranked teams in their quest for the crown.
5. Team Nelson: The Mid Atlantic champs made a run during the MDC before running into the Maryland Panthers freight train in the quarterfinals. Keep an eye on this bunch.
6. MABC: The Bengals made a final four run at the MDC until running into area rival CT Elite. Don’t be surprised if they make a lot of noise at the Nationals in Cocoa Beach.
7. CBC: This crew won the Best Of The Best and the DC Assault tourney. They beat a few quality squads the last few weeks.
8. Team Final: TF made it to the finals of the AGame Super Shootout and the Final Four at the Mid Atlantic Regionals. At the MDC they made some noise while making it to the quarterfinals.
9. Team World Elite: These guys made it to the final four at the Best Of The Best tourney in Mass. They also made it to the finals of the Metropolitan AAU Championship.
10. Playtime Panthers: These boys finished 3rd in the state and made the trip up to Mass. for the Best Of The Best.
