One On One Feat. Jamir Harris (Team Battle)
In 2009 Jamir Harris had the summer to remember. First he helped his squad (Team Battle) finish number #3 in the country at the 11 and Under AAU Nationals. Then he took his talent to the Adidas Jr. Phenom Camp where he finished ranked as the top player in attendance. This season Harris has shown good strides as his squad won numerous tournaments and look forward to another trip to the AAU Nationals. We hollered at Jamir and here’s our One On One.
One On One
BS: What school do you attend?
JH: Conackamack Middle School (Piscataway, NJ).
BS: Who’s your favorite player?
JH: Lebron James, I love his style of play and intensity.
BS: What’s the strongest part of your game?
JH: I dominate from the foul line in. I do a lot of damage in that area.
BS: What part of your game needs the most work?
JH: My ball handling and guard skills.
BS: How was the Adidas Jr. Phenom Camp experience?
JH: It was a good experience because I got a chance to go out there and play against a lot of players on my level or better. It also gave me a chance to work on perfecting my game.
BS: How did you feel about being ranked #1?
JH: It felt good because I went there to play hard and hoped for good results. I had a good feeling when I finished the camp.
BS: What’s your dream college?
JH: I would say Duke because I love Coach K and I feel that our Battle team is similar to the players they have. I also think we win just like Duke.
BS: Who’s the best player you ever faced?
JH: Keenan Black (North Carolina).
BS: How did you feel about the success you had with Team Battle last season?
JH: It felt good because we came together as a team and made a good run. It felt really great.
BS: How do you think you guys will do this year at the AAU Nationals?
JH: I think we have added the right pieces and we have a good chance of winning the championship.
