Many scouts look for potential when ranking players. The scout’s dream is a lanky player with athletic ability combined with ball handling skills. During my trip to Ohio for the Best Of The Best Showcase I ran into such a player. His name is James Manns and he plays for the SCAA Buckeyes. I got chance to talk to Manns after one of their games and here’s our One On One.

BS: What school do you attend?
JM: Berry Middle School (Columbus, Ohio).
BS: Who’s your favorite player?
JM: Lebron James because of his ability to handle the ball and create for his teammates.
BS: What’s the strongest part of your game?
JM: Playing in the post.
BS: What part of your game needs the most work?
JM: I would have to say my outside shot.
BS: Who’s your favorite rapper?
JM: LIL Wayne he’s the hottest right now.
BS: What is your dream college?
JM: Ohio State, I love the school and the basketball program.
BS: If you could dinner with one person who would you pick?
JM: It would be Lebron James. I love his game and thinks he’s a great role model.
