Kahari Buford Pumped In 49 Points In One Game!
The 14U Division at the AC Showcase had some fireworks. A few players put up some serious numbers while others showed tremendous skills. Here’s a look at some of the top performers from this age group.
14U Top Performers
Kahari Buford Forward (Boston Spartans)- Buford led the tournament in scoring including a whooping 49 points against Team NJ ABC in their overtime win. I heard stories about his scoring prowess in the New England area but got a chance to watch it first hand in AC. He looked like a baby Carmelo Anthony this past weekend.
Kaison Randolph Forward (Team NJ ABC)- Randolph shook off a chin injury to put up gaudy numbers. He held Team Finals 13’s off with 20 point performance in the quarterfinals. He has to be regarded as one of the top wing players in the region.
Isiah Powell Guard (Team NJ ABC)- Powell shot the rock well this weekend. He found his range against the Boston Spartans knocking down 4 treys on his way to 19 points. This kid is a good shooter and even better when he is confident.
Lamar Kimble Guard (Team Final)- Kimble didn’t let the age difference stop him from scoring. The crafty combo guard posted double digits every game including a 16 point effort against Team MVP.
Jamar Brisbon Guard (Philly Aztecs)- Jamar posted a game high 23 points against the Hawks and 16 markers versus Tri-City Warriors. It looks like the City Of Brotherly has found another top scorer.
Tashawn Robinson Guard (Tri-City)- Robinson seems to be the man for this bunch. He led the team in scoring for the entire tournament. Hopefully we will get another look at him during the MDC.
Yani Bartley Forward (Westchester Hawks)- Bartley was a big time scorer and rebounder for the Hawks. He tallied 20 points and over 10 rebounds in their thriller against CBC. The lefty plays with a lot of energy.
Jared Wilson Frame Forward (CBC)- This kids versatility stood out as he posted good numbers all tournament. In their victory against Westchester Hawks he finished with a team high 18 points.
