Future Players Flexed Their Muscles!Marquis Rowe and Gerald Gray scored 12 points apiece as the Future Players defeated the Boston Spartans 47-31 to win the AC Showcase 14U Championship. Kahari Buford finished with 14 points for the Spartans in the loss.
Top Performers
Marquis Rowe Guard (Future Players)- Rowe has grown a few inches but still maintains great speed and guard skills. During the championship he beat defenders to the cup and created opportunities for his squad.
Gerald Gray Forward (Future Players)- Gray was a big boost for FP. He can play inside or out while also being able to score the pill. This play will have to continue for FP to make a National title run.
Kahari Buford Forward (Boston Spartans)- This kid has crazy game. His size and versatility makes him a Carmelo Anthony type. Throughout the tourney he torched several squads. More on Buford coming later.
Damien Smith Forward (Boston Spartans)- Smith also has the attributes of a big time prospect. He’s lanky, athletic and knows his way around floor. Hopefully we can get another look at this kid real soon.
