Top Performers
Sa’eed Nelson Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- Once again Nelson proved to be unstoppable at times on this age level. He got into transition and exploded to the cup for numerous buckets. His all around game is apparent and he gets it done without getting too emotional. Finally, his body control once he leaves the floor is outstanding for an 11 year old.
Haraan Ransom Forward (F.A.C.E.S.)- His size and versatility caused serious problems for the small Battle interior. His ball handling and confidence has improved since I watched him at the Show Me Invitational. I got a feeling he is only going to get better.
RJ Cole Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- Cole had a good floor game pushing the rock and throwing outlet passes to Nelson. On the defensive end he pressured the pill and helped cause several turnovers. He also had a solid semifinal game against CBC.
Kyle Lofton Guard (F.A.C.E.S.)- Lofton goes hard on both ends of the floor. He can handle the ball like the other guards and also has similar speed. During the finals “Re Re” was all over the floor defensively.
Nate Pierre-Louis Guard (Team Battle)- Nate scored 15 of his 24 points in the second half. The southpaw got near the hole and exploded for baskets. He’s one of the top performers in the region especially for this age group. This kid gets busy.
Aaron Clarke Guard (Team Battle)- Clarke can really stroke it and he showed this throughout the tourney. He catches the rock on the wing and will release in the face of defenders. He caught fire in the second half ending with 10 points.
David Kachelries Guard (Team Battle)- This kid can really go. His court vision is beyond his years and his toughness is easy to identify. David presence throughout this game helped TB keep things close.
