Sayon Charles (SI Ironmen)
We got a chance to watch Staten Island Ironmen against Radiant Suns. It was a great contest with the Ironmen pulling it out 50-43. Here’s a breakdown of the top performers.
Top Performers
Sayon Charles Forward (SI Ironmen)- At first glance I thought Charles was strictly a post player but the strong forward proved me wrong. Charles handled the pill in transition and was capable of creating his own shot. We might be looking at the next Jayvaughn Pinkston.
\Nakye Sanders Forward (SI Ironmen)- Sanders is the other piece of SI’s twin towers. He was very dominant on the glass and scoring on put backs. I like the work he does in the paint especially on the glass. This kid works hard. He resembles Renardo Sidney a little (Look Alike).
Anthony Gibbs Guard (SI Ironmen)- Gibbs is the quarterback for this squad and will bark instructions to his teammates. He loves to dribble low while getting into the lane for opportunities. I love his toughness.
Romello Ford Guard (SI Ironmen)- I love this youngsters stroke and ability to take over the point guard duties when necessary. He’s very poised on the floor and tries to make the good pass when it’s time.
Elijah Pierson Guard (Radiant Suns)- Speaking of poise Pierson has it. This youngster goes hard either way and has the knack of scoring among the giants inside. Elijah also sees the floor very well.
Greg Smith Guard (Radiant Suns)- Smith is another tricky guard with this crew. He has a creative handle and loves to drive, draw and dish. He’s small in stature but makes up for it with his play on the floor.
Brein Tyree Guard (Radiant Suns)- Every team needs a shooter and Tyree holds that title for this squad. He stroked the rock good from the perimeter knocking down several treys. He has a scorer’s mentality.
