Clash For The Cup 14U Preview: Starrett City And Youth Interlock Set To Collide!

Can Isiah Whitehead Help Starrett City Take The Cup Back To NYC!

Everybody that’s somebody has entered the 14U Division. The tournament will kick off with a bang when #1 Starrett City squares off with #2 Youth Interlock. This entire field has the chance of taking home the cup. Here’s a breakdown of the top teams and players that will be in Neptune.

Clash For The Cup 14U Preview

Starrett City: SC returns after winning the Grand Finale and Funsport. They are loaded with talent super guard Isiah Whitehead. Their highly anticipated match up with Youth Interlock should send shock waves through the gym.

Youth Interlock: YI will be making their Spotlight debut and will be looking to make an early statement again rival Starrett City. Will Shepard Garner and crew be ready for the Spotlight? We shall see Saturday!

Team Scan: TS is coming off a trip to Massachusetts. Their solid backcourt play will be needed to get through this tough field. We might have a Nassir Barrino appearance in this one.

Team Nelson: It will be interesting to see how TN responds from the Grand Finale. This road to the crown will be the toughest they have faced thus far. But for some reason this squad always seems to make a strong run.

King Street Kings: Yes, KSK returns to the Spotlight. They have some new faces so we are looking forward to watching them rock. Welcome back!

Educated Athletes: Conrad Chambers and Jaquan Johnson return for some more Spotlight fun. If anyone understands the Spotlight stage it’s EA. They won the inaugural MDC years ago.

NJ Pirates: One of the sleepers of the year made it to the finals of Funsport. Now they can’t sneak up on anyone so they better be ready for this loaded field. This will test their armor.

AGame Elite: This will be there Spotlight debut and my first time watching them without Brandon Austin. They do have a solid bunch and I really want to see their new uniforms from AGame Apparel.

New Heights: The Brooklyn Ballers have moved over to NH. So that means they have an instant credible squad. This is one of the toughest teams in the bunch. No one really wants to play them.

Other Teams To Watch For: Team MVP, NJ Predators and Team Rebels

Clash For The Cup 13U Preview: The Hunt For Team Final Is On!

Will Donovan Mitchell And The City Finally Raise A Spotlight Trophy?

The 13U Bracket of the Clash For The Cup is a loaded with teams. The battles should be fierce and we are looking forward to them. Here’s a breakdown of the top teams and players that are chasing the cup.

Clash For The Cup 13U Preview

Team Final: This is the Most Wanted team in the region. Right now they are the measuring stick for other programs but don’t expect them to back down anytime soon. They are dominant in many aspects and they should be there when the smoke clears this weekend.

The City: No other squad has felt as many heartbroken losses to TF as The City. Last year in this very tournament they came up short and now they are hungry to get over the hump. Their versatility will be a major factor in the tournament this weekend.

KYDA: KYDA will be on the hunt to win their first Spotlight crown. They have some exciting guards and word is Manny Taylor might be suiting up this weekend. They are on a clear collision course with Team Final in the championship.

NJ Got Game: This is one of the hottest teams in the region. They just won the 14U Chip at the MLK Classic and now they want a piece Team Final. They will get their wish if both teams make it to the semifinals.

Team Battle (12U): This is a brave leap for the 12U Kingpins. Right now they feel like they need the challenge of a higher age bracket. Well they will get what they asked for and it should be interesting.

King Street Kings (12U): KSK also felt like they are ready to take the plunge. It will be interesting to see if they could handle the speed and strength of playing up in this intense event.

Mid Jersey Heat: The Heat showed some promise in Massachusetts now they are back in the jungle and must find their way out. Their guard play is solid and should keep them in a few games.

Team MVP: The Capital City bunch is trying to return to the top tier this age group. What would be better than a deep run at the Clash to cement their position?

Other Teams To Watch For: New Heights, NJ Pirates, Philly Triple Threat and Team Rebels

Clash For The Cup 12U Preview: Can Anyone Slow Down F.A.C.E.S.?

Can RJ Cole Lead F.A.C.E.S. To Another Crown?

The 12U Division of the Clash For The Cup has 8 quality teams and should be a dandy. Here’s a preview of the teams and top players that will be making the trip down.

Clash For The Cup 12U Preview

F.A.C.E.S: This might be the regions hottest team in this age group. They made it to the finals of three tournaments while taking home two titles. Not many teams can deal with their pressure and the way they push the pill up the floor. Look for this squad to make a deep run.

New Heights: NH also has been kicking butt. They won the New Years Brawl and finished runner up at the Grand Finale. Rakym Felder is one of the top scorers in the country and is used to carrying the squad. We might be looking at another championship matchup with Rob Cole’s bunch.

Sam Cassell All Stars: The Baltimore Boys will be making their Spotlight debut and will be thrown to the fire. Their pool features F.A.C.E.S. and New Heights. They wanted some good bump and we answered their call. Welcome to the Spotlight.

Team Scan: Scan also will be making their first appearance. They have some added weapons including point guard George Pena. We know animated Coach Dave will have his boys ready.

NJ Got Game: This group moved up in the rankings now they have to prove they were worthy. They are a well coached bunch and should make a good run for the crown.

KBR Raptors: I haven’t seen this group this year but they are known to rumble. They have the ability of knocking off anyone off at anytime. Beware!

Other Teams to Watch For: NJ Shore Shots and Philly Triple Threat.

Malik Dow: Kentucky's Next Big Thing!

When Coach Cal arrived to the University of Kentucky many felt the rebirth of the Bluegrass State in terms of basketball. But an AAU program not far from the campus has already planted the seed of resurrection. Hoop Dreams has become the household name for upcoming prospects including one of the top sophomores in the country Jaylen Beckham. Their future also looks bright with the emergence of 6th Grader Malik Dow. Dow is a 6’3 forward that made his Spotlight debut last year at the MDC.

Dow is a lanky forward that has the potential of moving to the guard spot. Hoop Dreams founder and coach Mike Scott agrees “He has the potential to move to the wing and develop into a big time guard. OJ Mayo played the post position at the same age and you see the end result” Scott added. Right now Scott is willing to take the benefits of Dow dominating his age group and even dunking the basketball. Dow is a constant shot blocker and has developed some decent post moves. During the MDC he showed major promise but his coach knows he has great room for improvement. “He needs to develop his ball handling, shooting and strength. But I do feel he’s a promising high major prospect” Scott finished.

I think I have the gift of identifying top prospects and having seen Dow play a few times I’m comfortable giving him the nod. No, he didn’t get the “The Stamp” yet but I do see a lot of good tools in his arsenal. His coach doesn’t think he’s no-where near is potential “He’s young right now but he has the potential to be very good with hard work and dedication” Scott added. Dow and his Hoop Dreams teammates will once again make the trip to the Basketball Spotlight MDC and we will keep you updated on his progress.

Basketball Spotlight 14U Top 10 (Presented By AGame Team Apparel)

The 14U Division is one of the most interesting in the region. There’s a lot of parity among the teams and the games are very intense. Here’s a look at our Top 10. Our rankings are based on team performance in quality events and who we feel are the Top 10 teams. Remember this is just our opinion and should be taken as such.

Basketball Spotlight 14U Top 10 Presented By AGame Apparel

1. Starrett City: AKA Juice All Stars won the Grand Finale and Funsport. Right now they are definitely the team to beat.

2. Youth Interlock: The #1 Team in the Mid Atlantic Region should be making their Spotlight debut at the Clash For The Cup.

3. Team Scan: Scan got tripped up over the MLK weekend by NE Playaz in the Final Four of the Jr. Hoophall Classic. Look for them to rebound with a good showing at the Clash For The Cup.

4. Team Nelson: It will be interesting to see how TN will come back after losing their first Spotlight event (Grand Finale). The Clash has added some heavy hitters so they better be ready to bang.

5. Team Underrated: I like some of the pieces within this squad. They will not be attending the Clash but I’m sure we will see them very soon.

6. Team NJ ABC: I think these boys are hungry for a title. They are not coming to the Clash so the next will see will probably be the state tourney.

7. AGame Elite: AGame Elite will be in the building for the Clash. I’m interested in seeing what they are bringing to the table.

8. NJ Pirates: The Pirates continue to impress. They made it to the finals of Funsport after getting past a few good squads. We will get a chance to see them again at the Clash.

9. Philly Aztecs: I got a chance to watch this squad in Massachusetts and left very impressed. Keep an eye on them and expect them to move up the ladder.

10. New England Playaz: I also saw this squad in Massachusetts was very impressed. They possess one of the top prospects in the region.

Basketball Spotlight 13U Top 10 (Presented By AGame Team Apparel)

The 13U Division had some moment but most of the same teams remain in the Top 10. The chase for Team Final seems to be on and a lot of questions will be answered at the Clash For The Cup. Our rankings are based on team performance in quality events and who we feel are the Top 10 teams. Remember this is just our opinion and should be taken as such.

Basketball Spotlight 13U Top 10 Presented By AGame Apparel

1. Team Final: Tyreke Evans’s squad remains on top of this age group. The Clash For The Cup is coming and look for TF to defend their crown. Teams are lining up to test their chin.

2. KYDA: The newcomers got the nod for the #2 spot after winning the New Year’s Brawl. They want another shot at Team Final and their wish might come true at the Clash For The Cup.

3. The City: The NYC boys lost in the semifinals of the New Year’s Brawl. They had some player movement early but expect them to gel very soon.

4. Team Takeover: TT held on to their slot. They are not coming to the Clash but we will probably catch them at the AC Showcase or MDC.

5. Gauchos: Science’s crew is always ready to rock. We hope to see them very soon. They have a talented bunch.

6. NJ Got Game: This crew moved up after finishing runner up at the New Year’s Brawl and winning the 14U Division at the MLK Classic. Keep an eye on this squad.

7. Philly Aztecs: The Aztecs continue to impress with a championship at the Jr. Hoophall Classic. This is a squad many don’t want to play.

8. F.A.C.E.S.: The Boys In Black won the MLK Classic and should be coming to the Clash. It should be interesting to see them in two weeks.

9. Team Delaware Select: This crew brings the top talent in the First State for this age group. They play extremely hard and are capable of knocking anyone off at anytime.

10. Linden: This hard-nosed squad caps off our Top 10. They are always willing for a dog fight so be ready when you them on your schedule.

Basketball Spotlight 12U Top 10 (Presented By AGame Team Apparel)

The 12U Division had little moment in the Top 10. A few teams seem to nipping on the heels of Team Battle. Things should get very interesting as the season progresses. Our rankings are based on team performance in quality events and who we feel are the Top 10 teams. Remember this is just our opinion and should be taken as such.

Basketball Spotlight 12U Top 10 Presented By AGame Apparel

1. Team Battle: TB holds on to the #1 spot after winning the PTS Pistons tourney and finishing runner up in the 13U Division of the MLK. They will make an appearance in the 13U Division at the Clash For The Cup.

2. F.A.C.E.S.: These youngsters are collecting hardware. They finished runner-up at the New Years Brawl and won the MLK Classic over NJ Got Game.

3. DC Assault (Cowan): Assault fell short to #1 Team Battle down in Maryland at the PTS Pistons tournament. We are very anxious to see this year’s version of this squad. We hope they make the trip up soon.

4. New Heights NYC: NH moved up a peg after winning the New Years Brawl. They are hungry for their first Spotlight crown and it might come at the Clash For The Cup.

5. Gauchos: The Choz have been idle since the Grand Finale. They resume still makes them a Top 5 team and very dangerous. We know we will hear from them soon.

6. King Street Kings: KSK made it to the semifinals of the New Year’s Brawl. I’ve heard they have some new pieces and should be a dominant team. We will see as the season progresses.

7. MABC: The boys from Boston made their presence felt with their trip to the Garden State. We will get to see them again very soon.

8. NJ Got Game: This group didn’t have a good showing at the New Years Brawl but rebounded by making to the finals of the MLK Classic. They will be making their Spotlight debut in two weeks.

9. Sam Cassell: This squad has some serious talent. They are scheduled to come to the Clash.

10. Team Takeover: This PV squad is holding on to the final spot. Hopefully we will hear some good news so they can stay in the Top 10.

Diary Of A Baller: Anthony "Champ" Mosely (Delaware) Entry #13

Hey world this is your boy Champ coming to you with some highlights from my week. This week was fun. Tuesday I watched my brother play. Thursday my school team played an undefeated Mariner Middle. Sunday I had a great workout with Old School Sports and finally on Monday MLK day my AAU team DC Assault Gold 14U had our first two games of the season.

Tuesday, I finally got a chance to get to watch one of my brother James basketball games. They traveled to play Seaford High School who is in second place in their conference. Seaford surprised me during the pregame because they walked out the locker room instead of running like most teams do. They also took time to grit on every player on my brother’s team. They let my brother’s team know they were getting ready to go hard and I liked it. They started the game with guns blazing as they opened up a quick lead by shooting a super high 90% from the field in the 1st quarter. Seaford was up by 12 in the second when the coach put my brother the freshman in the game. James got in the game and made an impact with his tough defense and high intensity. Polytech my brothers school came back to win the game by 7pts.

Thursday, my team traveled to Mariner Middle to face an undefeated Mariner Middle School team. Going into another teams gym is always tough but we were prepared to go to war. My teammates and I want to be the first undefeated team for our coach in his 9 yrs at the school. And I didn’t get the nickname Champ by shying away from the big games I was hyped up. The game started out tough as we traded baskets in the 1st quarter and the 2nd quarter. We went in to the locker room with a 6-point lead at the half. Coach made some adjustments and we vowed to go hard and get the job done. We came out and went on a 20-0 run to break them and walked out of their gym with a 56-32 victory. I finished the game with 26 pts, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.

Sunday and Monday were good. Sunday my man Eric and I put in some work at Old School Sports workout. I like going to these workouts cause Mr. Mike always challenges me, he doesn’t give me a chance to take breaks. One thing I’ve learned about working out with older boys is everything is earned. Monday we played two AAU games in a row. First we played Baltimore Elite and we jumped right on them and beat them 66-36. It was good to get back into AAU action; the pace of the game is faster than my middle school games. Since we hadn’t practiced or worked out with the team for a while it took me a bit to get it cranked up. I finished the game with 10pts, 4rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. In the second game we played a team called Men with Vision we defeated them 51-23. So we are off to a 2-0 start, last year we finished 46-4. I finished the game with 15pts, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. The great achievement for me in this game was I created my first 5 count at the AAU level and it felt good. As much as I like to score didn’t realize how good it would feel to get a 5 count. I was pumped!!! Staying in front and moving your feet is good work. Well that’s it for this week of my highlights, check in next week for the diary of a baller.

Champ Out!!!!

Diary Of A Baller: Jalen "Young One" Henriquez (New Jersey) Entry #14

Hello Basketball World

This week was fun, Wednesday I played my first middle school basketball game with my school team. Although we lost by four, I scored 40 points and had a lot of fun. Thursday, we had another game and won this time, I scored 36 in our convincing victory. Friday, we were off from school; I stood home worked out a little bit and relaxed. This weekend I went to a couple of my brother Xavier’s basketball games. These games are always entertaining because of the talent these kids showcase. In my brothers first game he did not play so well and he was not focused. In his second he played a little better dishing out some assists and being a playmaker.

Monday, we also had off for Dr. King’s birthday. I stood home to do homework and later on I went to watch Paramus Catholic play at home against Central High school in Newark. This game was great; it was a close one all the way up until the fourth. Both teams were playing hard and there were limited jump shots which I feel that I can help out with next year, it was a lot more moves to the basket and fast breaking. Late in the fourth Paramus Catholic was able to pull away for the much needed victory. They caught some big offensive rebounds getting second chance shots and played good defense forcing Central to shoot from outside which they didn’t want to do. The physical play of this game also showed me that along with shooting in order for me to be on the floor I need to be more physical and aggressive. After to the game Coach Barnes invited me to listen in on the post game discussion between Coach Barnes and his team. He spoke about the key offensive rebounds and other reasons why they were able to squeeze out the victory. Due to realignment, this year Paramus Catholic got placed in a different league then they are normally in, facing them up with less challenging games then they would normally have. Coach Barnes also spoke about the reason he scheduled those independent school games to “toughen” his squad up for the tough league they will be reentered into next year with teams like, Don Bosco, Bergen Catholic, Paterson Catholic, DePaul Catholic etc.

I will also be visiting Paramus Catholic this Friday to shadow the classes and see how the classes are structured. This was my first time attending a Paramus Catholic game this year and as always Coach Mack was very welcoming and made me feel as part of the team, which I enjoyed. I would like to say that after watching this game although it’s too early to decide, I can picture myself in the Paladin uniform as they play similar to my AAU team with fast up-tempo offense, which is better suited for me and my game.

Thank you Dr. King for allowing us to dream, Young One Out…

Jr. Hoophall Classic: 13U Top Performers Day 2

Darrick Boyd Put On A Show In Sprinfield!

On Day Two of the Jr. Hoophall Classic we got a chance to check a couple semifinal games. First we will take a look at 13U Division and its Top Performers.

13U Top Performers Day 2

Darrick Boyd Guard (OLSH Blue Jays)- There were some good guards at this age level but Boyd reigned supreme. His toughness and ability to take over the semifinal game against the Mid Jersey Heat stood out. Things got tight in the second half and Boyd went on a scoring spree to give his team the breathing they needed to hold off the Heat.

Tymere Berry Guard (Mid Jersey Heat)- Berry battled Boyd all afternoon. He held down his end with clever dribble drives and strong pull ups. He proved to be more than a local talent with his play in Springfield. He battled like a warrior.

Pat Sheehan Guard (Mid Jersey Heat)- Sheehan showed some promise handling the rock and passing. He does need to work on his shot selection especially as a point guard. A few times his willingness to take the big shot took his team out of their rhythm. But this should come with maturity.

Emmanuel Taylor Forward (Philly Aztecs)- Taylor shook off a slow start to play huge in the semifinals. He dominated on the blocks while spending most of the day at the charity stripe. When he’s playing hard he’s totally unstoppable on this level.

Jihad Barnes Guard (Philly Aztecs)- Barnes is a showman with the rock. He likes to show flash especially when dishing the rock. I have to admit when he’s on he looks very good. I also love the effort he puts in on the defensive end.

Jr. Hoophall Classic: 14U Top Performers Day 2

Jahyde Gardiner Played Huge In Massachusetts!

On Day Two of the Jr. Hoophall Classic we got a chance to check a couple semifinal games. First we will take a look at 14U Division and its Top Performers.

14U Top Performers Day 2

Jahyde Gardiner Forward (Philly Aztecs)- Gardiner capped off a huge weekend by leading his squad to the finals. The wiry forward plays the post or the wing and has developed his ball handling. On defense his wing span allows him to swat shots away continuously. He shined bright this weekend!

Sam Foreman Guard (Philly Aztecs)- The powerful guard did damage during the semifinals. He tallied 15 points while finishing off tough plays at the cup. His handle is not flashy but efficient and his strength allows him to absorb contact before scoring.

Jarred Reuter Forward (NE Playaz)- Reuter’s play inside helped send Team Scan home. Today I got a chance to see more of his game. He showed a few more low post moves and the ability to stretch out for buckets. On defense he totally shut down the middle and made things very difficult for TS. He’s probably the most dominant 8th Grader in the region.

Idris Taggee Guard (NE Playaz)- While Reuter controlled the middle Taggee drained shots from the perimeter. His has a sweet stroke and can hit the jumper off the dribble. In transition he ran the like deer and finished off plays.

Johnnie Vasser Guard (NE Playaz)- Vasser played under control in this one. He beat defenders to the basket and either scored or dished the rock. On defense was pressured the rock and even took a few charges.

Naim Thomas Guard (Team Scan)- Thomas played major minutes but when watching him push the rock you can see that he’s really still not 100% back from his tail bone injury. He should be back to himself after a few more games under his belt.

Dustin Cole Guard (Maine Nation)- Cole ran the show for the team from up top. In the semifinals he torched the net for 5 treys and showed good poise at the quarterback position. Once he gets a stronger you might be looking at a good prospect.

Kody Lynn Guard (Maine Nation)- Lynn is tough as nails and will stick the mid range or trey ball. His strength allows him to hold off strong defenders. He should be a name to know Maine. He teams with Cole to form a good looking backcourt.

Jr. Hoophall Classic: 14U Top Performers Day 1

Jarred Reuter Has A Huge Presence!

Basketball Spotlight traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts for the Jr. Hoophall Classic by Basketbull. We got a chance to check out two age groups on Day 1. Here’s a breakdown of the 14U Division.

14U Top Performers Day 1

Jarred Reuter Forward (NE Playaz)- Reuter actually controlled the game without scoring many buckets. The big fella patrolled the paint while blocking shots and ripping down several rebounds. He has soft hands and when he got the opportunity to score he made it look very easy. I would love to see him again when he’s the focus of the offense.

Johnnie Vasser Guard (NE Playaz)- Vasser is a very explosive guard with the ability to finish in transition. His quickness and ball handling allows him to get past defenders and get to the tin. On the flip side he does take a lot of chances with the rock and takes some difficult shots.

Idris Taggee Guard (NE Playaz)- I like this smooth wing guard. He has good size for his position and has good form when pulling up for his jumper. Idris moves well off the ball and knows how to make himself available in transition.

Michael Judkins Forward (East Coast Elite)- Judkins plays with a high motor and scores well while slashing through the lane. He has long arms and uses them to stretch out for buckets. I didn’t get a chance to see his outside shot but he will need one as his game progresses.

Corey Barrett Guard (East Coast Elite)- Barrett is the quarterback for this squad and directs them well. He got into the teeth of the defense and spoon fed teammates near the cup. He knows how to take good care of the rock and will stick the open jumper when needed.

Amos Ford Guard (East Coast Elite)- This lefty shoots well off the dribble and will also explode to the basket for two. When his team was down big to the NE Playaz his stroke and scoring ability closed the gap quickly.

Shane Christie Guard (East Coast Elite)- This kid loves to use the up fake and attack the baseline. Once he gets close to the shot blockers he unleashes a tear drop floater that usually connects. His ball handling and size at the guard spot makes him a factor.

Adeyinka Adams Guard (Team Scan)- Adams looked real good today. He played under controlled and even drained a few treys balls. While running the point he made some good decisions in terms of moving the ball and getting teammates involved.

Austin Robinson Forward (Team Scan)- Robinson was too much inside. He cleaned the glass and used his soft touch to convert in the lane. On defense he anchored Team Scan’s pressure and started the break with outlet passes. He was definitely a force in the paint.

Naim Thomas Guard (Team Scan)- Thomas returned from injury today and though he was a little rusty he still made some tough moves to the basket. As always Thomas has good presence on the floor and knows how to run a team. It was good to see the youngster back out there.

Jr. Hoophall Classic: 13U Top Performers Day 1

Devin Liggeons was on his game today.

Basketball Spotlight traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts for the Jr. Hoophall Classic by Basketbull. We got a chance to check out two age groups on Day 1. Here’s a breakdown of the 13U Division.

13U Top Performers Day 1

Devin Liggeons Guard (Philly Aztecs)- Liggeons was on fire today. He did much damage driving to the hole and finishing in traffic. The versatile wing seemed very comfortable handling the pill and creating opportunities. He also did an excellent job hammering the glass for caroms. He was the top performer in this age bracket today.

Troy Smith Forward (Philly Aztecs)- Smith muscled his way to a few buckets inside. He usually operates from the foul line area. He’s a little undersized for a post player but he knows how to make space by using his body. As he gets older he will have to develop his ball handling.

Pasquale Dimascio Forward (Philly Aztecs)- Pasquale loves shooting a mid range shot and using his wide frame to shield shot blockers. When the Aztecs needed a bucket Dimascio delivered by scoring in the lane and on the baseline.

Darrick Boyd Guard (OLSH Blue Jays)- Boyd is a serious floor general with good court vision and the ability to score. I love how he directs traffic and pushes the rock up the floor in attack mode. Darrick is definitely a legit floor lead guard with good potential.

Kail Hastings Guard (OLSH Blue Jays)- Hastings can stroke it from the mid range area or behind the arc. His shooting stretches the defense but he also can put the rock on the floor. In transition Hastings uses his speed to finish off plays.

Joshua Malone Guard (OLSH Blue Jays)- Malone is a combo guard that scores well within the offense. He can get a little emotional on the floor at times but it’s expected at this age. Keep an eye on this kid he could do turn out very good.

Davidson Pacheco Forward (OLSH Blue Jays)- Pacheco patrolled the paint by blocking shots and hitting the boards. Offensively he must get stronger and work on his ability to finish around the cup. He looks like he has a lot of growing to do so watch out.

Tymere Berry Guard (Mid Jersey Heat)- Berry looked well running the floor and scoring in transition. He was in his comfort zone handling the pill and dropping dimes. On defense he pressured the rock and made steals by roaming the passing lanes.

Pat Sheehan Guard (Mid Jersey Heat)- Pat cut down some of the over dribbling and made some good decisions with the rock. He had the floater falling and got into the lane at will. He also was a pest on defense hounding ball handlers.

Will Nicholson Forward (Mid Jersey Heat)- Speaking of running the floor and playing defense Nicholson filled this role great. The lanky forward finished off plays around the cup and got his hands on several passes while roaming on defense. He looks very comfortable since coming over from F.A.C.E.S.
