Austin Colbert from Chesapeake, VA made his mark on the Tri-State area when he played in the Gym Rat Challenge last fall. The Kevin Garnett type displayed high level skills and proved to be the top forward in the building. On offense Colbert can play the post or dominate the baseline. He gets his shot off over anyone and can finish with either hand. On defense he hits the glass hard and blocks any shot attempted in his area. Austin is currently ranked #8 in the country by Generation Next Scouting Service.
Next season Colbert will take his skills to national power St. Patrick’s and should see some varsity action. Before he heads to St. Pats Colbert will represent the South Squad in the Basketball Spotlight All Star Classic slated for August 15th at Life Center Academy in Burlington, NJ. Don’t miss the action!
