Spotlight Players
Shafeek Taylor Forward (Peacemakers)- Taylor is making a run at Player Of The Summer Award and should have a nice spot in our Class of 2013 Top 100 Goodbye Rankings. Shafeek once again put on a dominant performance all around the floor. He’s too strong for most wing forwards and too versatile for power forwards. He just consistently puts up good numbers and more importantly leads his team to wins.
Jabril Chandler Forward (Peacemakers)- Chandler did his job on the blocks and gave us a glimpse of his face up jumper. He has great command of his moves and understands when to utilize his mismatches both in the post and on the perimeter. He’s also a beast on the boards and on defense in the paint. This was a good pick up for the “Bullies From Philly”.
John Davis Forward (Peacemakers)- The lefty made things easy for his team by scoring off the glass on several possessions and hitting the backboard like a mad man. JD is a lunch pail type of forward so when you match up against him, be ready for a long and physical day.
Amar Stukes Guard (Higher Ground)- I don’t want to get ahead of myself but I might have saw the next Dexter Strickland and his name is Amar Stukes. Physically he resembles the St. Pats star and also has some of his same tools on the floor. He slices through the lane for smooth finishes and shows good patience for a player of his caliber. Watch Out for this youngster.
Jerry Price Guard (Hockessin PAL)- Price was one of the best guards in the building. His quickness and ability to get to the hole kept his squad in the game before they pulled it out in the end. He got them going in transition all afternoon.
