Team Final Takes Home The Title!Ray Lawry scored 23 points and Malik Ellison dropped in 21 markers as Team Final defeated South Jersey Blitz 67-37 to win the Mid Atlantic AAU 12 and Under title. Myles Powell scored 12 points for the SJ Blitz in the loss.
Spotlight Performers
Ray Lawry Guard (Team Final)- Just like in AC “Big Game” Ray saved his best performance for the finals. Lawry scored in a variety of ways including deep treys, strong drives within the offense and of course in transition. On the other end of the floor he used his strength to harass the Blitz guards into turnovers.
Malik Ellison Guard (Team Final)- Today Malik showed the flair that has him highly rated on several websites. He played the scoring role and lit up the net all afternoon. He had the jumper falling while also making difficult shots look easy. At one point he totally took over the game.
Lamar Kimble Guard (Team Final)- Lamar has a chance to really work on his point guard skills with this group. There’s so much talent around him that he doesn’t have to score the rock a lot. He has one of the slickest handles in the region and on the low is a nice rebounder.
Myles Powell Guard (SJ Blitz)- Powell was a bright spot for the Blitz. The scoring guard showed he could get buckets against some of the top defenders around. This kid knows how to find the hole when he steps on the floor.
