Do not miss out on the perfect event to end your travel season or to begin your AAU season. The only mixed (travel + AAU) event around is coming up very quickly! The Presidents Weekend Showdown will take place at Hoop Group Headquarters in Neptune the weekend of February 13th-15th. The event will be open to travel teams, graded 3rd-8th, and AAU teams, U9-U14. Teams will be guaranteed 3 games with the possibility of more if they make it out of pool play. In 2006, 42 teams participated, and in 2007, the event was completly sold out with 52 teams! Championship Trophies will be awarded, MVP's and All Tournament Teams will be chosen and put on The Hoop Group's website. The event will be covered by members of The Hoop Group and Mike Melton of Basketball Spotlight. A recap of the event will be posted on both websites.
