Basketball Spotlight Then and Now Feat. Doron Lamb
Then : I first noticed Lamb playing with the Gauchos 13 and Under group at the Spring Fling two years ago. I watched as the then skinny Lamb made defenders pay for backing off him by nailing shots from everywhere on the floor. He finished the tourney as an All Tournament honoree. The next spring Doron hit the AAU road with that powerful Team Next squad coached by Paul Suber which won every game until losing in the AAU National Elite 8. While with Team Next I saw Doron began to attack the basket more off the dribble. He would freeze defenders with hesitation dribbles and crossovers. With his jump shot still intact Lamb will become a dangerous prospect.
Now: I guess I was right back then as Lamb has surfaced at Oak Hill Academy after spending two seasons at Bishop Loughlin in New York. He had a strong summer on the circuit with the Gauchos and is considered one of the top juniors in the country. He also is one of the most sought after recruits in the country. This has been a Basketball Spotlight Flashback. Stay tune for plenty more coming shortly.
