14U Nationals Update: LI Lightning Reach Final 4

Long Island Lightning Reach Final Four

The Long Island Lightning have advanced to the Final Four at the 14U Nationals. They have a date tonight with the Southern Kings in the semifinals at 7:00PM at the Milk House at World Wide of Sports. Here’s a breakdown of what’s going on with the area teams down in Orlando.

Long Island Lightning: Advanced to the Final Four after defeating DC Assault 57-44 in the Elite 8 round. They play again tonight at 7:00 PM against Southern Kings.

Rich Soil: After upsetting the #1 team All Ohio Purple they lost to Illinois Flights 68-55 in the Sweet 16. They then lost to Memphis YOMCA 71-57 in the 3rd Round Consolation Game.

Team Philly Finest: They lost to the Atlanta Celtics in the Sweet 16 59-53. They then defeated Bowie All Stars 46-43 and Team Breakdown 62-55. They play again tonight at 8:30 for the right to be #6 or #10.

MSU Skyliners: They advanced out of pool play and went to the championship bracket. In the first round they lost to Houston Defenders 70-46. Then they lost in the first round consolation 70-46 to the South Ravens.

Chester Panthers: The Panthers advanced out of pool play and defeated Garner Road West 66-47 before losing in the 2nd Round to Team Breakdown 66-44. Their tournament ended with a 3rd Round Consolation loss to Team Daniels 76-57.

NYC Gauchos: They advanced out of pool play before losing to Team Breakdown 74-57 in the first round of the championship bracket. They then lost to Garner Road West in the 1st round consolation bracket 86-62.
