Tyler Ulis (OBC Showstoppers)
Team Kobe loss a tough game to Ohio Basketball Club 33-30. This was low scoring game with the squad from Ohio team grinding it out. Here’s a breakdown of the players that impressed us.
Day 2 Standout Performers
Tyler Ulis Guard (OBC)- Ulis is a true point guard in every sense. In this contest he breezed past defenders and made some things happen. He showed his true worth late in the contest when he dribbled the clock down and ended the play with a soft floater. His penetration skills made the difference for OBC when they needed him most.
Trevon Bluiett Forward (OBC)- Trevon made some big buckets down the stretch for OBC. He attacked from the baseline and a nice looking pull up shot. I like his size on the wing and he also asserted himself on the glass.
Larry McCoy Forward (OBC)- McCoy was a force early banging the boards and getting Brandon Austin in early foul trouble. He plays hard and usual gets the rock at the free throw line before he operates. He’s very tough.
Brandon Austin Forward (Team Kobe)- Austin got in early foul trouble but made his presence felt in the second half. He looks very comfortable handling the pill and sets up defenders well for his crossover dribble. During the end of the game Brandon made a few attempts to get buckets but fell short. When he adds some mass to his frame this won’t be a problem.
Anthony Rhem Guard (Team Kobe)- Rhem put on another good showing. When Austin was out he put the team on his back and made some plays. He had the jumper falling and scored in traffic. His play really stood out today.
