Jr. All American Camp: Friday Night Report Class 2014/2015

Justin Jenifer Was As Good As Advertised!

Basketball Spotlight arrived at the Jr. All American Friday night and I must say it is loaded with talent. We got a chance to look at players from every grade level and here’s a look at the 2014 and 2015 classes.

Class 2014 and 2015 Standouts

Justin Jenifer Guard (Baltimore, MD)-Sometimes when you see a kid’s highlights on the internet, and then check them in person it’s not the same effect. But I must admit Jenifer is good as advertised. The southpaw has much maturity and style to his game. He displayed an array of moves including up fakes, hesitation dribble and top notch spin moves. Justin also can knock down the long trey even off the dribble and throw lazar passes from every angle on the floor.

Jerron Love Guard (Bronx, NY)- Love showed his just not a regional name. He brought his same game to Virginia. He dazzled the crowd with his quick burst of speed and on time passes. He also like the way he uses vocal direction for his team.

Marsalis Hamilton Forward (Team Florida)- Hamilton took full advantage of his size difference on the blocks. He got deep post position and hung around the hoop for weak side rebounds. He has good touch around the cup.

Quenten Snyder Guard (Louisville, Kentucky)- Snyder had some Chris Paul type drives to the hole. His crossover dribble is well set up and crisp. He has tremendous balance and knows how to dart to the cup. His court presence is felt by everyone watching his game. Quenten jumper wasn’t falling as much as he wanted but you could see he had a nice stroke.

Craig Victor Forward (New Orleans, LA)- Victor was a major factor in his game. He’s very long and dominated the paint. He scores with ease inside and even tried to put the ball on the floor at times. He looked too easy at times for him. He should be a serious force soon.

Parker Cartwright Guard (Van Nuys, CA)- I saw the California game in Cartwright. He plays like current 2008 stud Malcolm Lee. Parker is long, lanky and has the moves that create separation. He also will drain the jumper if you back up off him too far, which he did on a consistent basis.

James Blackman Guard (Fort Wayne, IN)- Blackman has a lot of pop in his game. He’s a combo guard that can score from perimeter or on drives. He has good body control and a lot of power in his moves. He knows how to maneuver his shot to avoid shot blockers. He also has big time confidence.

Deante Cole Guard (Ewing, NJ)- Cole held his own against the field. The lefty had his tear drop falling and hit a few open shots. He’s very deceptive and seems to play stronger than he looks.

Perry Dozier Guard (Columbia, SC)- Dozier is an upbeat guard with some serious moves and athleticism. He blew defenders off the bounce and pulled up from mid range shots or got to the bucket for finishes. Remember this name.

Jackson Davis Forward (Lexington, KY)- Davis is an athletic that’s on the verge of honing his skills. He runs the floor very quickly and get up for rebounds or shot block attempts.
